In Algeria, many palm groves are still farmed in a traditional way, without systematic pesticides, on soils that have been preserved over generations and not exhausted by chemicals. Oasis irrigation, natural composting, and close observation of natural cycles still guide the daily work of growers.
Algeria produces several hundred thousand tonnes of dates each year, but only a small share is currently exported and truly valorised. Fennex Trade positions itself exactly at this junction: turning this potential into clear, reliable offers that match the expectations of European and international markets.

TYPES OF DATES
At Fennex Trade, Algerian Deglet Nour dates are at the heart of what we do. We offer a selection of dates adapted to different uses and distribution channels, while maintaining a consistently high level of quality.
“Deglet Nour” means “finger of light” in Arabic, a reference to its elongated shape and golden colour, almost translucent when held up to the light. It is highly appreciated for its sweetness and honeyed notes, which make it the emblematic date variety of Algeria.
On-Branch
The date remains attached to its branch, preserving its authentic look while making packing and handling easier.
Branch-cut
Naturally detached from the branches, these dates are graded by size and texture.
Packaged
100% natural dates steamed to restore a softer texture and a pleasant mouthfeel.
